  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Mix in eggs one at a time, then fold in flour until just combined.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth; add vanilla.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan. Add dollops of cheesecake mixture and swirl with a knife. Pour remaining brownie batter on top and add more cheesecake swirls if desired.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Allow to cool before slicing.
