- 5–6 peaches, cut into 8 wedges
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter, cubed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Melt cubed butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish for about 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar (reserve some), baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
- Toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup in another bowl until well-coated.
- Layer half the peaches over the melted butter in the baking dish. Pour batter on top and add remaining peaches without stirring.
